Connection-parts

Continuing the study on inter-connected structures, stochastic aggregations with a single transformed part type are stitched together by a second part type to create cross-connections.

Besides the occasional cross connections, part instances are located at identical distances in some areas across aggregations. An additional connection part (magenta) is created to bridge this gap and populated into the previous aggregation in a second run.

Base aggregation with 100 parts (green)

Clusters of more or less inter-connected parts emerge.
Because the adjacency detection in WASP allows for some level of geometric imprecision, parts that are not exactly touching would still be recognized as adjacent parts, offering an interesting potential for working with loose-fit connections.
