Following up on the previous study<\/a>, but mainly in continuation of studying systems with connection-parts<\/a>, aggregation systems with active connection-parts are tested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basic parts, as well as connection parts, are both used in a combined set to aggregate structures. In the previous study, connections were populated into an initial aggregation from basic parts in a two-step process, here both types are used simultaneously in a single process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Occasionally, clusters of interconnected parts are formed. In most cases, multiple cells are arrayed in strings that do not close back in themselves in order to create an interconnected lattice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, in some instances clusters of multiple adjacent cells emerge, representing fractions of an interconnected framework – the initial goal of this series of studies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the connections in the cluster above is not exactly matching, but within the allowed threshold still registered as a ‘closed connection’ (see also previous study on connection-parts<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides clusters containing both, basic and connection part types, occurences of two adjacent cells from basic parts exclusively can be found. This shows an unexpected additional feature of this specific aggregation system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
