In the earlier workflows, 3-dimensional modules composed of multiple bike frames were used to assemble aggregations which in most cases required those source artifacts to be significantly edited to implement joints in between modules.

Looking at the project from a fresh perspective, we aim at a more simple, repetitive 2D pattern of interconnected bike frames joined along existing axes.

Assuming hinge joints and allowing parts to shift along connection axes, to some extent the pattern is flexible enough to compensate irregularities introduced by varying parts.
The simulation below, built with Kangaroo Physics for Grasshopper by Daniel Piker, shows a relaxation simulation that aims at finding a global formation with all connected parts aligning along shared axes.

<iframe loading="lazy" title="lattice random aggr00" width="764" height="430" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/BUnIW943ZDo?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer;
